London 7th February

On Thursday the photography department went to London to see the Taylor Wessing work at the National Gallery. The work was pretty amazing to say the least and gave me an wider outlook on portraiture as that's not my strongest area in photography. After about an hour of looking around the place we thought it would be a good idea to try and walk to Camden town knowing full well we had limited time, we found this out just after we got half way.
Anyway a few pictures I took around London, nothing special just documenting the day really.

Home

Another college assignment in which we had about 7 months to produce was to create a body of work for an exhibition we're holding at Leicester's photographic gallery in February. I'm ashamed to say I didn't carry out my original proposal  and changed my mind 2 weeks before the deadline, which was a bad idea but really i'm glad I did. Anyway the project I decided to carry out was MORE nightscapes on my village, a similar project to my other however, this was a lot more personal. The village I live in is very special to me not only because I grew up here but because of how unique the place is and some of the beautiful features it includes. So this time round I wanted to embrace this through the night.
Below are images that have surrounded me throughout my life. These are not just photographs, this is home.

2013 Star Trails project

Okay so i've experimented with nightscapes, my new project for this year will be to create nightscapes including star trails. Last time I tried this it didn't turn out too well, however this time im going to be prepared as ill have the right equipment. Unlike other projects this one will no be rushed, even if i take a picture every month.
The pictures below are a few inspirations. (Please note these are not mine)
I can't wait!
